This Film About an Unhappy Couple on a Long Drive Starts Streaming Today

It stars John Arcilla and Irma Adlawan.

( Long drives with great company are generally a great idea, but with Manila's traffic woes, getting stuck on the road for hours is a real possibility—and we all know how excruciating that can get. Imagine getting into a fight with your S.O., to boot. The 2005 Cinema One original Sa North Diversion Road follows a couple in just that situation, and it starts streaming on YouTube on August 14 at 8 p.m.

Based on Palanca awardee Tony Perez's stage play of the same title, Sa North Diversion Road, directed by Dennis M. Marasigan, zeroes in on an unnamed couple, played by John Arcilla and Irma Adlawan, who act out 10 different scenes as 10 different characters in order to explore the heartbreaks of love, including infidelity, adultery, and miscommunication as they coast along North Diversion Road (That's North Luzon Expressway or NLEX to you, '90s kids).

Sa North Diversion Road starts streaming on Cinema One's YouTube channel on August 14. For more information, visit Cinema One Originals' Facebook page.
