(SPOT.ph) While you may have made it a tradition to watch Cinemalaya Film Festival every year, screenings are few and limited due to the schedule, along with other films taking up space in big cinemas as well. If the Cinemalaya season this year passed you by, here's your chance to do some catching up minus the crowd in mall theaters: Cinema Centenario is screening the 2019 Cinemalaya entry Belle Douleur from September 1 to 7.
Joji V. Alonso's directorial debut puts the focus on Liz, a single woman (Mylene Dizon) in her 40s who is convinced she doesn't need anyone else to be happy, and is adamant on being alone. An intervention comes in the form of Josh (Kit Thompson), a younger man who shows interest in the antiques in her ancestral home, and breaks down her walls to spice up her life.
Tickets are priced at P200 per screening, but students can score tickets at a discounted price of P150 from Monday to Thursday. You can catch Belle Douleur at the following dates and times:
- September 1: 9:10 p.m.
- September 2: 1 p.m.
- September 5: 5:10 p.m.
- September 7: 12 a.m., 7:30 p.m.
Cinema Centenario is at 2/F 95 Maginhawa Street, Teachers Village East, Diliman, Quezon City. For more information, you can visit Cinema Centenario's Facebook page.
