(SPOT.ph) Age may just be a number, but it's still an incredible feat to reach a certain age. Very few people live to a hundred and when someone does get that many years under their belt, it leaves you asking what they did to remain physically strong. That, or it's a rare occurence that demands celebration, or even an official world record. The 2019 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino Best Picture Lola Igna puts the focus on a 118-year-old lola who values family and life. In case you missed it, it's screening in Cinema Centenario from October 4 to 12.
Lola Igna (Angie Ferro) lives in a small isolated hut in the province all by herself. At 118 years old, the grumpy grandmother is a contender for the Amazing People of the World's "The Oldest Living Grandmother in the World" that garnered her celebrity status. Tourists travel hours just to meet her and her family uses this opportunity to make money. She wants nothing more than to pass on, but everything changes when her great-grandchild Tim (Yves Flores) visits, and she begins to see value in living once more.
Tickets are priced at P200 each, but if you're a student, you can watch for just P180.
