This Coming-of-Age Film Set in a Hospital Is Now Screening Nationwide

(SPOT.ph) Caring for a sick relative at the hospital is a great responsibility, and while confinement should only last a few days, some patients extend their stay for years. The 2019 Cinemalaya Film Festival entry Edward follows the life of a boy who looks after his father in a public hospital, and grows up there, too. The festival may have ended, but you can now watch the film in cinemas nationwide.

Stuck caring for his ailing father, a young boy (Louise Abuel) lives in a public hospital and regards its halls as his playground. For fun, he and his friend visit each bed and make bets as to who will die, and who will still live, until he meets a sick girl (Ella Cruz) who captures his attention.

Edward is screening in cinemas nationwide starting October 2.
