(SPOT.ph) There are many artists and musicians that make up the local music scene, but one band that really stands out is the Eraserheads, known for their tracks "Pare Ko," "Toyang," "Ligaya," and more. In November 2018, it was announced that their now-classic album Ultraelectromagneticpop! would be remastered by sound engineer Bernie Grundman (who has woked with Michael Jackson and Prince, to name a few). The tracks are available online, but the band also announced that the album would get a limited-edition vinyl release, and they're finally going to launch it on November 24 at the Eastwood Central Plaza.
The release is right in time for the band's 25th anniversary. The numbered vinyl records were pressed at RTI in California and packaged using premium quality Old Style Tip-On Gatefold Jackets by Stoughton Printing Company. Singer-songwriter Barbie Almalbis, Itchyworms, Nathan & Mercury, Cheats, We Got!, Pinkmen, and Nobody's Home are set to perform covers of several Eraserheads hits during the launch. Even if you're not looking to get the record, you can still come to watch the show as admission is free.
