The Friends Reunion Has Finished Taping
(SPOT.ph) It's official. The much-awaited Friends reunion special has finished taping, announced the sitcom's official Instagram page on April 11, Philippine time. We know you've probably been waiting for the gang to reunite since the special was announced in 2019, or maybe even ever since the sitcom ended in 2004, so feast your eyes!
Yup, it is happening and we have the proof. "That’s a wrap!" said the IG page in the caption, cheekily adding a "Could we BE anymore excited!?" in true Chandler Bing fashion. No word yet on when the series will drop but it will be available on HBO Max. Fingers crossed HBO Go gets a piece of the action too.
Matthew Perry, who plays Chandler Bing even let us in on a sneaky behind-the-scenes pic on his Instagram account. The post was deleted after so we think the posting may have been a classic Chandler blunder—not that we're mad or anything of course.
More than a week before the announcement, David Schwimmer, a.k.a. Ross Geller, dropped that he was on his way to Los Angeles to film the reunion. "I'm going to see everyone next week for the first time in many years," he said while on BBC's The Graham Norton Show on April 3 (cue the tears!). And now with the announcement on April 11 it looks like it didn't take them long to finish shooting the unscripted program.
TBH, with the level of chemistry the Central Perk had—Jennifer Aniston as Rachel Green, Courteney Cox as Monica Geller, Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe Buffay, Matt LeBlanc as Joey Tribbiani, Perry as Chandler Bing, and David Schwimmer as Ross Geller—we're not shocked it was over fast! Now we'll just keep our eyes peeled for the official release date.
this strange new world.
