Guess who'll be starring in a new mistress movie together
Hint: The last time we saw these two together on-screen was in 2006.
(SPOT.ph) The last time we saw Kris Aquino and Claudine Barretto working together was in the 2006 horror blockbuster, Sukob. It looks like we’ll be seeing them reunite soon, this time in a movie adaptation of the book, Etiquette for Mistresses and What Wives Can Learn From Them.
The film is set to be directed by Chito Roño (who also previously directed Sukob). There’s no word yet on how exactly the book will be adapted, but Kris has said that she prefers her character to "end up alone." She explained, "…Ang audience ko, mga misis. Ayaw ko naman na ma-feel nila na na-reward 'yong 'number two.'"
The 1992 bestseller, penned by Jullie Yap Daza, sparked controversy for shedding light on the true and juicy secret lives of mistresses. Its success later led to a sequel in 2012 entitled Mistresses Play...Men Stray...The Wives Stay.
Interestingly enough, it was reported in 2014 that Gretchen Barretto was slated to star in the adaptation. She seemed pretty excited about it, but it looks like her sister wins this round.
