Uh-oh, there's some bad blood brewing between Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift

Nicki tweeted her disappointment that she wasn't nominated for Video of the Year.

(SPOT.ph) Nicki Minaj has never been one to be silent over issues. She's vocally spoken against sexism, as well as double standards in the music industry. On July 22, she took to Twitter to voice out her thoughts on the latter, after her music video for "Anaconda" wasn't nominated for Video of the Year at MTV's Video Music Awards.

She talked about the influence of her video:

Taylor Swift seemed to take offense to Nicki's last tweet:

Nicki pointed out that she wasn't referring to Taylor, saying:

She also called out Ryan Seacrest's Twitter account that reported on the issue with the headline, "[Taylor Swift] blasts [Nicki Minaj] for #VMAs jab: I've done nothing but love & support you." (Said tweet has since been deleted.)

Her fans were quick to defend her, which she also retweeted.

So far, Taylor's only response was to invite Nicki up onstage with her if she won the award. The nominations for Video of the Year are Taylor's "Bad Blood," Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud," Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk," Kendrick Lamar's "Alright," and Beyonce's "7/11."
