Katy Perry joins the heated Nicki Minaj-Taylor Swift Twitter exchange

It's getting very interesting

(SPOT.ph) Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift's heated Twitter exchange over MTV's Video Music Awards is far from over. Now, Katy Perry has joined the conversation with...well, a rather confusing tweet.

We took the liberty of translating it for you: "I find it ironic that Taylor Swift is using the 'How dare you pit women against other women' argument while she directly profits from the takedown of a woman."

Taylor's highly successful single, "Bad Blood" is widely understood to be a dig against Katy—said dig involves releasing a music video in which a girl gang helps her destroy Selena Gomez (Katy's supposed proxy).

Katy went on to promote Rihanna's "Bitch Better Have My Money," another video by a black artist that failed to earn recognition from the award show.

Menwhile, Nicki took to her Instagram account to thank various publications for helping her make her point clear, saying, "Nothing to do with any of the women, but everything to do with a system that doesn't credit black women for their contributions to pop culture as freely/quickly as they reward others."
