Alden Richards' views on special treatment will make you love him even more

There's nothing more swoon-worthy than a respectful guy.

( Celebrities, newcomers and old-timers alike, are often associated to diva-like behavior and ridiculous demands. In the case of Alden Richards, however, he's saying no to special treatment, no matter how huge a phenomenon AlDub has become.

In an interview with Yes! Magazine, Alden said that he wants to make a "personal connection" with everyone he works with. "Kung ano ang kinakain ko, gusto ko 'yon din ang kinakain ng lahat," he said. "Ayokong may nagpapaypay sa akin. Ayokong may nagpupunas ng pawis ko. I don't want any of those things. Hindi ako Diyos. As long as everyone is treated fairly, okay ako. Only if the situation calls for it, na ako 'yong nadedehado, doon lang ako nagre-react."

He explained that his parents raised him to be a "good person," which includes being respectful to those senior to him in the industry. "Sa showbiz kasi, ang daming divas, even sa guys. That's what I hate the most, especially sa mga bago who don't know how to pay respect sa mga seniors sa kanila," he shared. "When I was starting, I would approach the seniors on the set and introduce myself to them to acknowledge them lang."

Plenty of celebrities have praised Alden for his attitude, from Eula Valdez to Kris Aquino. He is as "Pambansang Bae" as it gets in our book.
