Director Wenn Deramas passes away due to cardiac arrest
He was 47 years old.

(SPOT.ph) According to a report from ABS-CBN News, blockbuster film director Wenn Deramas passed away on Monday, February 29, due to cardiac arrest.
Deramas' manager and friend, June Rufino, said that he went to the hospital at 2 a.m. to check on his sibling who was brought there, but he later suffered a heart attack and was declared dead around 6:15 a.m. Celebrities have already taken to social media to grieve and extend their condolences, including:

Deramas was the man behind some of the biggest box-office hits at the annual MMFF, including The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin, The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin, and Beauty and the Bestie. He also directed immensely popular teleseryes like Saan Ka Man Naroroon in 1999, Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan in 2001, Marina in 2004, and most notably, Mula Sa Puso in 1997. He later went on to direct the latter's film version in 1999.
