Julia Barretto Tries Her Hand at Shouting "Darna!"

(SPOT.ph) The search for the next Darna continues. This time, it's Julia Barretto who's given a go at the famous "Darna!" transformation cry during her interview on the Tonight Show with Boy Abunda.

Barretto claims to have previously auditioned for the role, except that time, she wasn't taken seriously. This prompts Abunda to ask Barretto for a redo, even giving her a red bra with gold stars to really get into the role. 

Barretto then gives it a go, with Abunda taking on the role of Olivia Lamasan, managing director of Star Cinema. When asked by the pretend Lamasan why she should play the heroine, she answers,  "I am an independent, strong, empowered woman who can empower other women."
