Disney's Largest Fan Event Is Finally Coming to Southeast Asia Next Year

(SPOT.ph) Disney adults, nerds—fans, this one’s for you. D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is officially heading to Southeast Asia.

For the first time, Disney’s biggest fan gathering—known for giving audiences early access to the latest in shows, theme parks, movies, merch, and more—will be within reach for the Asia-Pacific crowd in 2027. Here’s what to expect as D23 Asia gears up for its long-awaited debut on this side of the world.

To the uninitiated, D23 is the biggest event for all things Disney. Whether you're a Disney Parks aficionado, a devoted Disney+ watcher, a merch collector, or an all-around Disney nerd, this is the place to be, especially if you like being in the know about what lies ahead for the brand.

Happening in Singapore next year, Think of this as Disney's own version of Comic Con. This multi-day event brings audiences closer to everything the House of Mouse has to offer through major live presentations, exclusive merchandise, celebrity appearances, immersive exhibits, and first looks at upcoming projects across Disney’s massive entertainment universe.

Originally held in Anaheim, California, the biennial event (i.e., it happens every two years) was something Disney fans in Southeast Asia could only follow online or hear about through the Disney grapevine. It’s traditionally where major announcements, surprise reveals, exclusive merch drops, behind-the-scenes showcases, and first looks at upcoming films, series, attractions, and experiences make their debut so the rest of the world can look forward to them.

Specifically for Southeast Asia, D23 will also feature exclusive previews of APAC Original series for Disney+, and the opportunity to hear directly from the teams and creative talents behind the shows.

D23 Asia is part of the event's global expansion following the recent D23 Brazil. As Disney Asia Pacific's Executive Vice President for Integrated Marketing & APAC Strategy, Carol Choi puts it, "Bringing D23 to Singapore marks a natural evolution in our journey to bringing unforgettable fan experiences to audiences across this diverse region in new and meaningful ways." Adding, "D23 Asia will offer fans a truly distinctive experience."

As of writing, details about D23 Asia are still kept under wraps. So far, the only information we have is that the event will take place in Singapore in 2027—but trust we're keeping our eyes peeled.
