Businessman sues tabloid for alleging his girlfriend was his sex slave
Businessman Reghis Romero II sued his ex-girlfriend and Hataw tabloid editors for reporting that he made his ex-girlfriend a sex slave, reports inquirer.net.
Ex-girlfriend Kristina Roper told Hataw in an interview that Romero sexually and physically abused her. She added that their relationship, which started when she was 17, was "forced."
Meanwhile, Romero said that he repeatedly tried to break it off but she wouldn't let him. He said they became a couple after he gave her money for her college tuition.
Three days after the article was published, Romero allegedly received an email from Roper where she asked for P20 million "in exchange for recanting all her previous accusations and putting a stop to her vilification campaign" against him, Romero said.
