Vice President Noli de Castro announced Wednesday, September 15, that he is no longer running under the administration party, according to a report from Inquirer.net.
He clarified that he is not a candidate of the Lakas party when asked if that meant he was no longer seeking the presidential position. De Castro did not make other announcements about his political plans.
Lakas has so far not named a presidential candidate for the 2010 elections.
