Noynoy Aquino's sisters, Pinky Aquino-Abellada and Ballsy Aquino-Cruz, raised P106,000 for Noynoy's forthcoming election campaign over the September 19 weekend, reports GMANews.tv.
The Aquino sisters went to meet urban poor families in Negros Occidental but instead the families contributed money for Noynoy's campaign, according to former Liberal party president Butch Abad.
"That was what former (Negros Occidental) Governor (Daniel) Bitay Lacson reported to me. That (P106,000) was from a group of 400 volunteers gathered at the La Salle Bacolod," Abad said.
According to Abad, Noynoy Aquino and running mate, Mar Roxas, will go to Mindanao to talk with people there on September 25 to 27. Roxas, previously groomed to be the Liberal party's standard bearer, announced his acceptance to be Aquino's vice presidential bid on Monday, September 21.
