Juana Change open to dialogue with pres. spokesperson Edwin Lacierda over their Facebook word war
Following a Facebook and open email word war with presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda, Mae Paner a.k.a. Juana Change told Karen Davila of TV Patrol that she is "open to a dialogue" with Lacierda.
Their online clash started when Paner criticized the appointment of father and daughter Butch Abad (Department of Budget and Management) and Julia Abad (Presidential Management Staff) into Pres. Noynoy Aquino’s Cabinet. Lacierda then posted on his Facebook wall, "Mae is totally ignorant of the relationships of the Abads with Noynoy. The most charitable thing I can describe her statement is envy!"
Their word war escalated and an open email stating "Yes to a dialogue with Lacierda" became viral.
On TV Patrol, Paner, a character actress and former Aquino volunteer, invited Lacierda to a dialogue. She added, "’Di ako galit sa mga Abad pero naniniwala pa rin ako na hindi dapat mga pamilya ang nasa Gabinete."
In response to Paner’s invitation, Lacierda sent a text to TV Patrol: "Seriously, I am the wrong person to have coffee with. She should offer coffee to the Abads who she alluded in a negative light. She has not spoken to them yet." According to TV Patrol, Lacierda is a close friend of the Abad family.
