TV host and columnist Manolo Quezon III also joining Noynoy government
ANC TV host and Inquirer columnist Manuel "Manolo" Quezon III is the latest media personality to join the communications group being set up by President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, reports ABS-CBNNews.com.
Quezon is the grandson of former President Manuel L. Quezon, a historian and was the spokesman at the inaugural of President Aquino. Quezon resigned from the ANC on Saturday, July 10, a day after news anchor Ricky Carandang resigned from the same ABS CBN news channel. ABS-CBNNews.com reports that in the new communications group, Carandang will be in charge of "strategiz[ing] and craft[ing] government’s messages, while Herminio "Sonny" Coloma, former Transportation undersecretary, and former Presidential Management Staff chief of Noynoy’s late mother President Corazon Aquino, will handle media operations.
The formal announcement about the details of this much-talked-about media relations group will be made on Monday, July 12, said Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda.
