From 12 noon to 4 p.m. on July 15, portions of Balintawak, Binondo, Bocaue, Bulacan, Gardner, Malibay, Pasay, Paco, Pandacan in Manila, Cainta, Canlubang, Ayala-Alabang, Forbes Park, Kamagong in Makati, Malabon, North Port, Paranaque, Parang, San Mateo in Rizal, Tayabas, Lucena, Pagbilao in Quezon, Candelaria, Kaybiga, Legaspi, Malibay, Marikina, New Rockwell, Ortigas, Mandaluyong, Tegen, and Urdaneta will be affected.

However, power has been restored in 92 percent of the Manila Electric Co.’s (Meralco) franchise areas, reports GMANews.TV. Meralco cut off power supply in Metro Manila and nearby provinces when Typhoon Basyang hit Metro Manila and experienced strong winds midnight of July 13.

Meralco spokeswoman Teresa Adriano said in an interview on dzBB radio, "Malaki na ang improvement. As of 3 a.m. ang percentage restoration umabot na ng 92% kaunti na lang (This is a big improvement. As of 3 a.m. we have had a 92-percent restoration)."

However, Meralco is still verifiying reports in the areas of Marikina, Taguig, Pasay and Manila in the National Capital Region. They could also not provide reassurance that Meralco can restore power in all areas by July 15, Thursday.

Joe Zaldarriaga, External Communications Manager of Meralco told GMA’s Unang Hirit that they are targetting full restoration of power in Metro Manila by July 15, Thursday.

Meralco urges the public to call or text Meralco for any queries at the following numbers: 16211, (0917) 559-2824 and (0920) 929-2824 and leave their names, contact numbers, landmarks in their area, and service ID number.
