Back in the day, Mystica led the audience into temptation with her X-rated antics.
Singer Mystica (whose real name is Ruby Mauanay Villanueva Cassidy-Coolong) caused a stir when she first came out in 1999. It was because she was notorious for her sexually charged live performances--where she would usually do a mock lap dance for a male fan and, of course, she would also do splits. To begin with, Mystica was fond of skimpy clothes that came in the most interesting colors. And, oh, it seemed that she could never have enough glitter and rhinestones. That she had a big singing voice, as well as hits like "Simple Lang," was immaterial. People latched on to the spectacle she created.
After laying low for some time, Mystica recently resurfaced in TV host Korina Sanchez’s show, Rated K. There she revealed that she was done and over with her scandalous ways because she was now a motivational speaker. Is this transformation miracle or madness?
Mystica, whose hair has now been dyed white blond, motivates people to be comfortable in their own skin.
