Sexy actress Krista Ranillo admitted to The Buzz yesterday, August 15, that she is pregnant, but denied this was the reason she married childhood sweetheart Jefferson Niño Lim recently, reports ABS-CBNNews.com. "(It’s) because we really love each other. My pregnancy is still in its early stage... We are building a family together."
Ranillo married Lim, CEO of Island Pacific Supermarkets, in Jewish rites on August 8 in Long Beach, California. But the couple was actually already legally married before then--they tied the knot on July 14 in Norwalk, Connecticut, according to The Buzz. "Kami lang po at wala pong mga witnesses ’yon. It was very private and talagang reception namin after that sa burger place lang (There were no witnesses and it was very private. We simply had our reception at a burger place)," Ranillo said. Afterwards, she said they decided to get married again with their family and friends to witness their nuptials on August 8. They almost canceled the ceremony because some of their loved ones found out they were not among the initial 32 or 33 guests, and because the press got wind of the supposedly private wedding, according to Showbiz Central and The Buzz.
Ranillo told Showbiz Central they will get married again in the Philippines in November or some time this year. They will invite their family and friends who were not able to attend the California wedding ceremony, including Ranillo’s grandmother, veteran actress Gloria Sevilla. "Friends from the press" will also be invited, Ranillo said.

She told Showbiz Central how Lim proposed. "We were just on vacation in Sta. Barbara and then he just asked me. Of course I said yes because I’m very happy with him. We’re really in love so it’s the right thing to do."
Ranillo described her husband during her interview with The Buzz, "’Yong qualities na gusto ko sa kanya is nakikita niya talaga kung ano ang kabutihan ng tao. Wala kasing perfect na tao pero ’pag nahanap mo ang taong perfect sa’yo, ayaw mong lumipas pa ang isang araw na hindi kayo magkasama. (I like that he sees the good in people. No one is perfect but once you find the person who’s perfect for you, you don’t want to let a day go by without him.)"
