From August 23 to 27, feast on gourmet Italian cuisine with a special degustation six-course menu at Paparazzi’s Il Carnevale dell’Amore (The Carnival of Love).
Paparazzi’s Executive Italian Chef Salvatore de Vincentis put together five menus for the festival, and includes antipasto, risotto, two main entrees, and dessert. Among the featured dishes are are Seared Jumbo Scallops in Prosciutto with Kiwi Compote and Balsamic Rocket Salad, Brandy flamed Lobster Bisque with Fragrant Tomato and Lobster Salsa, Aglianico Wine Risotto with Braised Italian Sausage, Oven-roasted Beef Angus wrapped with Parma Ham on Garlic-mashed Potato with Lambrusco Wine Reduction, and Warm Sabayon with Marsala Wine and Meringue Biscotti.
Classic opera will performed by world-acclaimed singers from Venice: tenor Maurizio Saltarin and soprano Jolanta Stanelite, with violinist Alberto de Meis and pianist Guido Galterio. Diners will also be treated to an art exhibit of Venetian costumes and masks from the 16th century at the mezzanine foyer.
The special menu will be available for dinner from 7 to 10 p.m. at Paparrazi, EDSA Shangri-la, Mandaluyong at P3,500 + per person. Prior reservations required, please call 636-9077.
