Modern minimalist fans need not fly to Hong Kong or Japan to get their Muji fix. The Japanese lifestyle store, Muji, is set to open its flagship store at Bonifacio High Street in October 2010. The store will carry its full lifestyle offerings--from apparel and accessories to furniture and food.

Popular for their no-brand products showcasing restraint and simplicity in neutral hues, Muji lets the products speak for themselves. The minimalist stance extends to Muji’s packaging and presentation. Packaging, if any, is kept to a minimum and customers are encouraged to buy only what they need.

Muji is earth-friendly as well and veers away from artificial additives and searches for sustainable and innovative sources of raw materials.

Muji, which started in the 1980s, has created practical yet covet-worthy products and has over 7,000 products sold in 18 countries.
