P-Noy delegation eats In-N-Out burgers in SF; Aquino looks forward to eating street hotdogs in NY
Balitang America report on the start of President Noynoy Aquino’s first official working visit to the United States.
On his first official working visit to the United States, in contrast to his predecessor Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s reportedly lavish dinners in restaurants like New York’s Le Cirque, President Noynoy Aquino said the Philippine delegation ate burgers from In-N-Out, a popular food chain, in San Francisco. ABS-CBNNews.com quoted Aquino as saying, "Iyong aking mga secretary tuwang-tuwa. First time kong nasubukan, masarap nga naman pala (My cabinet secretaries were delighted to eat the hamburgers. It was my first time to try it, and I found it delicious)."
Now in New York, Aquino said he is "looking forward" to eating hotdogs sold by street vendors, according to ABS-CBNNews.com. He also wants to try the pizza in the city. "Not the pizza chain, more like the ’Mom and Pop’ type." Aquino said the Philippine delegation will keep their lifestyle simple while in the United States.
