Mark Herras denies alleged webcam scandal, laughs off gay rumor
Showbiz Central video: Mark Herras talks about his alleged nude photos circulating online
In an interview with Startalk, actor Mark Herras denied being the star of a currently circulated webcam scandal video which featured his supposed look-alike identified as "Mark H," reports PEP.ph. There are three controversial screencaps--the third one being a close-up of Mark H’s genitals--dated April 8 and captured between 1:54 a.m. to 2:11 a.m, according to Manila Bulletin. However, Herras, 23, said he was at a Party Pilipinas show for the GMA-7 Trade Launch at the time. He said Startalk even caught him on camera during the show.
He says that because he was suffering from heartburn, he did not stay until the end of the event. "I asked GMA for some time off to rest. And then this issue came out. I don’t know why (rumormongers) won’t let me peacefully recover," he told Startalk in Filipino.
Herras added that "Mark H" is missing the mustache and goatee that he sported in April for his role in Paano Ba Ang Mangarap and later in Langit Sa Piling Mo. Rumored to have been chatting with a buff guy, he said in Filipino, "Are they insinuating that I’m gay? That’s one of the funniest things about this controversy." He added that he has never used his real name when creating social networking accounts, ever since he joined showbiz.
