CelebTV.com on Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman’s separation
International pop star Christina Aguilera and her husband Jordan Bratman, a music marketing executive, have split up after almost five years of marriage, reports Reuters via Yahoo News. Aguilera said in a statement released October 12, "Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever."
The couple "has been separated for a few months," UsMagazine.com cited a source "close to Aguilera." The website’s source added, "They were very much in love but over the last six months, it became clear they were more like friends than husband and wife... (Aguilera) even proposed their August trip to Italy to rekindle their relationship but it didn’t help." People.com quoted a source "close to the couple" as saying, "Right now they’re just trying to figure things out. There are no divorce proceedings at this point."
Aguilera, 29, and Bratman, 33, met in 2002 and tied the knot in November 2005, according to MTV.com. Their son Max was born in January 2008.
