This month, the American Wine and Food Festival returns to the Oakroom in Ortigas in time for America’s Thanksgiving holiday. Pair classic American steakhouse fare by Executive Chef Jerome Cartailler with seven varieties of California wines by Robert Mondavi.
On the menu are the Philly Cheese Steak (P650) with roasted onions, peppers and caramelized garlic, and topped with melted Provolone cheese on a French roll; Marinated Flank Steak (P475), best served medium or medium rare; Rib-eye (P995 for seven ounces and P1,650 for 12 ounces); Tenderloin (P1,495 for six ounces); Strip Loin Steak (P1,250 for 10 ounces); Porterhouse Steak (P1,350 for 12 ounces); Imported Barbecued Baby Back Ribs (P950 for the full rack and P725 for the half rack); Roasted Half Chicken (P495); Flame-grilled Cajun Beef Kebab (P1,250); Hot Smoked Atlantic Salmon (P895); and Foie Gras (P225 for 50 grams).
Robert Mondavi’s Pinot Noir, Savignon Blanc, Woodbridge Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot
Oakroom recommends the Woodbridge Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot wines to go with your main course. Finish off your meal with the Pumpkin and Chocolate Chip Gooey Butter Cake (P325) with Mars ice cream; Warm Apple Pie (P295) with homemade vanilla ice cream; or Brownie Sundae (P350) with vanilla ice cream, fudge sauce, whipped cream and cherry.
