Woman tries to claim P741 M lotto jackpot without winning ticket, says grandchild has it
An 82-year-old woman tried to claim the P741 million lotto jackpot at the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on December 7 in Pasay, reports ABS-CBNNews.com. The PCSO refused to give her the prize because the unidentified woman did not have the winning ticket. She claimed it was with her grandchild, whom she supposedly has not seen recently.
"That’s not our problem anymore. As long as he or she can give us the ticket and two valid IDs, we’ll give him or her the prize," lawyer Jose Malang, manager of the PCSO audit department, told ABS-CBNNews.com in Filipino.
The winner of the jackpot, announced on November 29, has one year to claim the prize before the money goes to the PCSO charity fund.
