After launching its first branch in Eastwood Mall in 2009, American franchise Johnny Rockets recently opened its newest outpost in Tomas Morato. Expect several more branches to dot the city in 2011.
Gleaming chrome, jukeboxes and servers all decked out in white greet you at the door of the 50s-style diner. The menu lists an extensive selection of burgers and a separate menu of dishes with smaller portions are available for kids. The prices of Johnny Rockets’ all-American diner fare skew a little higher than the average fastfood joint so large families may rethink about spending family dinners here but servings are hefty with 1/3 pound hamburgers, rich milkshakes that are made with ice-cream and the French fries are served fresh and hot off the fryer.
Johnny Rockets’ biggest draw may just be their eat-all-you can-fries deal where diners get unlimited fries with every order of any Johnny Rockets burger. While waiting for your order, the servers will give you a small plate of fries to munch on. The cheery waitstaff--who also break into a choreographed dance number every 30 minutes--will waste no time in refilling your empty platter of fries. You can also upgrade your order of regular fries to chili fries for an additional P50.
Johnny Rockets at the Galleria Mall Veranda also opened this December.
