A 60-year-old balikbayan claimed the P741-million jackpot prize of the Grand Lotto today in Pasay, reports GMANews.tv.
A "simple-looking" man according to Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Chairperson Margie Juico, he was on a "sentimental journey" to the Philippines from New York. Juico said the man claimed the check with his brother-in-law and nephew at the PCSO head office in Pasay.
On December 7, an 82-year-old woman tried but failed to claim the prize without the winning ticket. She said it was with her grandchild, whom she allegedly has not seen recently, reports ABS-CBNNews.com.
The winning lotto combination was announced on November 29.
