Rep. Ronald Singson has "suicidal tendencies," argument with Lovi Poe and Usher’s high talent fee drove him to take drugs, says doctor
Rep. Ronald Singson’s "suicidal tendencies" supposedly drove him to frequently use drugs, Dr. Steven Ung testified in Hong Kong on Tuesday, reports ABS-CBN News. Ung said severe depression caused Singson’s "suicidal tendencies." Singson is currently facing drug trafficking charges in Hong Kong after being caught with cocaine last year.
Ung mentioned two factors which drove the legislator to go on a cocaine binge before he was arrested at a Hong Kong airport in July. Fearless Productions, a production company that Singson co-owns, was said to have lost millions of dollars when they booked the internationally acclaimed artist Usher. The company supposedly paid Usher a very high talent fee.
On the night of Usher’s concert in Manila, Singson and his girlfriend, Lovi Poe, got into an argument, according to the congressman. 24 Oras previously reported that the actress supposedly walked out after she noticed Singson’s ex-girlfriend was seated near them.
In contrast to Ung’s testimony, the prosecution’s doctor said Singson could not have consumed the 6.67 grams of cocaine he was caught with all by himself. His next court hearing is on February 17, according to ABS-CBN News.
