Get a taste of the exotic and diverse cuisine of India at the Oakroom’s Indian Food Festival to be held until February 26 at the Oakwood Premier Joy~Nostalg Center in Ortigas.

The menu designed by Chef Rajeev Arora of the Oakwood Premier Pune in India features "different flavors from different regions of India." To suit the Filipino palate, he says, "I kept the flavors but I didn’t make it too spicy." Among the must-trys: Kesari Malai Zinga (Cheese-and-Saffron-Infused Prawns), Nihaari Gosht (Braised Lamb Shank with Garam Masala), Chicken Biryani (Steamed Saffron Rice with Mint Chicken) and Konkani Fish Curry (Fish Cooked with Coconut and Coriander).

Two of Chef Arora’s favorites? The Murgh Makhani (Chicken Cooked in Fenugreek Tomato Sauce) and Dal Makhani (Curried Creamy Black Lentil and Red Kidney Beans). For dessert, try the Coconut Rice Kheer, short grain rice cooked with coconut and topped with crushed pistachio, playfully presented in a tall glass.

The Indian Food Festival dishes are available from 11 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. until February 26. Oakroom is at the 6th floor of Oakwood Premier Joy-Nostalg Center, 17 ADB Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. Call 716-1160 for inquiries and reservations.
