Charlene "Chat" Almarvez, first runner-up in the 2009 Ford Supermodel of the World, was featured in a fashion spread for the March issue of Town and Country US. "It was my first time to have an eight-page spread in an American magazine. I kept flipping through the pages over and over again," Almarvez told SPOT.ph.
According to Fashion Media PH, the editorial entitled "Cut Loose" features the "sexy comfort of pajamas and nightgowns, all dressed up for evening." It was photographed by Ruven Afanador and edited by Sarajane Hoare. Almarvez told SPOT.ph, "It was a pleasure working with the team... Just like my mentor Joey Espino of CalCarrie’s Manila, the world renowned Sarahjane Hoare enlightened me by giving me great advice. She also told me that she strongly believes in me and that I can make it in the modeling industry in New York and other fashion capitals of the world."
In the editorial, Almarvez is seen wearing Stella McCartney, Manolo Blahnik, Calvin Klein Collection, Hat Attack, Olatz, Haider Ackermann and The Row, among others. She told SPOT.ph that her favorite look was the first spread (see photo above) because "it captured the movement of the clothing beautifully (and she) felt the calmness and weightlessness of the total image."
