Four Pinoys in Forbes’ Billionaire List, "Facebook Six" all make it
Four Filipinos-Lucio Tan, Henry Sy, Andrew L. Tan and Enrique K. Razon Jr.-made it to this year’s Forbes billionaire list, reports GMA News Online.
According to the report, mall magnate Sy, whose fortune has been estimated to have risen by $5.8 billion, moved up to the 173rd spot. Lucio Tan, the taipan behind Philippine Airlines, Asia Brewery and Fortune Tobacco ranked 512th, up 70 spots from last year’s list with a net worth of $2.3 billion. Andrew Tan (valued at $2.2 billion) of Alliance Global Group, Inc. debuted at the 540th spot. Head of International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) Enrique K. Razon Jr. is another newcomer who ranked 1,057th with $1.1 billion.
The "Facebook Six" composed of Mark Zuckerberg, Dustin Moskovitz, Eduardo Saverin, Sean Parker, Yuri Milner and Peter Thiel also made the list, reports NYMag.com.
The report shows that Facebook founder Zuckerberg ranked 52nd ($13.5 billion) while co-founder Moskovitz, the youngest billionaire in the world, debuted at 420 with $3.7 billion. Saverin, also new on the list, bagged the 782nd spot with $1.6 billion. Another newcomer is Parker with $1.6 billion in his name. Facebook investors Thiel and Milner landed in the 833rd and 1,140 spots, respectively.
