Proposed seven-year sex ed in RH Bill "over acting," Christine Jacob-Sandejas says at anti-RH Bill prayer rally
(SPOT.ph) At the anti-Reproductive Health (RH) Bill prayer rally on Friday, TV host Christine Jacob-Sandejas called the seven-year sex education proposed in the RH Bill "over acting," reports Manila Bulletin. The RH Bill proposes that sex education be taught in school, from fourth grade to fourth year high school.
The Olympics swimmer and SEA Games medallist said, "Masyadong OA (over acting) naman ’yon, parang hindi na tama. Ano kaya ang ituturo nila for seven years na sex ed? Eh kung hindi pumasa, may summer classes pa para lang sa sex ed!"
("It’s too much; it doesn’t seem right. I wonder what they will teach in a span of seven years? So if a student fails, there will be summer classes just for sex education!")
The mother of five said she would not have had her three youngest children if the RH Bill had been passed because the bill proposes limiting children per couple to two, reports GMA News Online. She added that parents are the only ones who should teach sex to their children because they know when their children are ready to understand it.
