Baron Geisler to extend rehab stay, says he has forgiven himself
(SPOT.ph) Actor Baron Geisler has decided to extend his stay in rehab than the recommended three-month period by the Professional Artists Managers Inc. (PAMI), reports PhilStar.com. In January, the PAMI banned Geisler from working with their artists until he is "fully rehabilitated" after receiving a complaint from actress Cherry Pie Picache.
At the Penuel House in San Juan, Geisler told PhilStar.com, "Three months are not enough for me to learn many things... I love this place. Graduates become so attached that they miss this place when they leave it."
The actor said, "I miss showbiz, all right, but I try to divert my mind from it so I can concentrate on the programs here." He said he wishes he addressed his alcohol addiction earlier but "as they say, things happen for a reason and it’s never too late to change."
Geisler said, "With the help of God, I know that things will turn out right and I will go back to work a changed man... Maybe I should stay away from kontrabida (villainous) roles muna (for a while) so that people will not be reminded of the ’old me.’" He added that he has learned to accept his mistakes, forgive himself, and submit to authority.
