(SPOT.ph) Dusit Thani Manila's all-day dining restaurant, Basix, celebrates the country's 113th Independence Day with a buffet spread of well-loved Pinoy dishes and street food favorites available for lunch and dinner until June 12. Expect the Basix staff to be garbed in local costumes and the dining room dressed in festive memorabilia with street-style food carts serving fishballs, isaw and assorted skewered barbecue treats cooked a la minute.
Fill your plates with regional favorites included in the buffet spread such as Pampanga's Callos, Birengi (Seafood Paella), Sinangag sa Taba ng Talangka, Cebu's Humba, Tokwa't Baboy, Kilawin na Salmon na may Gata, Bacolod's Pata at Kadios na may Langka, Pangasinan's Diningding, Bulacan's Paksiw na Hito sa Luyang Dilaw, Pininyahang Manok, Rebusadong Hipon, Kalderetang Baka na May Olive at Keso, Negros' Gisadong Upo, plus lechon, the superstar to any Pinoy party.
Desserts like Halayang Ube, Puto at Kutsinta, Reina Blanca, Maruya na Saging, Suman sa Latik, Maja Mais, and Puto Bumbong cap off the sumptuous buffet.
The buffet is at P1,250 net per person for lunch and P1,399 net per person for dinner. The Pinoy Street Delights Buffet includes free-flowing servings of chilled juices, soft drinks, local beer, sparkling red and white wines.
