Gretchen Barretto supposedly walks out on the press when asked about her educational attainment
(SPOT.ph) Gretchen Barretto allegedly walked out on the press last week on June 17 after a reporter inquired about her educational attainment, reports ABS-CBN News. Barretto had been cordially entertaining the media on the set of a photo shoot for her latest endorsement.
Barretto willingly answered questions about her family, career, and her recovery from a trampoline accident, reports ABS-CBN, even revealing her dreams of studying again. However, she felt offended when a reporter pointed out that her daughter, Dominique, is already in college, whereas the actress only reached third year high school.
"That's very intrusive. Why emphasize that? Kakulangan ko ba 'yon bilang tao? Humaharap naman ako ng maayos sa inyo so why grill me on that? I think we should stop this interview. Nakakapikon na! (Does that make me less of a person? I'm facing you here properly so why grill me on that? I think we should stop this interview. I've had enough!)," she said, before leaving the slew of reporters.
In a later interview with TV Patrol, however, Barretto clarified that she did not walk out, and only left to finish her photo shoot. "I just chose to stay away from a situation which is against my sensibility and dignity. You just can't stand by and accept all questions thrown by media against you and kawawa (pitiful). That was my choice," she said.
