Solenn Heussaff not worried "drunk in Boracay" rumor will affect vodka endorsement
(SPOT.ph) Solenn Heussaff, the latest endorser of Antonov Vodka Mixed Drink, said she had no reservations about promoting an alcoholic beverage despite rumors of her getting drunk in Boracay during Holy Week, reports Manila Bulletin.
At the product's contract signing on July 15, Heussaff maintained that the reports about her being wasted in Boracay were untrue. "If it was true I would be like, 'Oopsieees,' 'yon lang... I haven't had ten cases naman but, you know, it depends on your tolerance," she said. The rumor began in April when PEP.ph reported that Heussaff was allegedly so drunk that four men had to carry her back to her hotel. Though she admitted that she came to Boracay to "party," Heussaff, insisted that she did not get smashed. "If I want to do something like that, I’ll do it in my house na lang. My family, they don’t want rumors like that," she told PEP.ph in May.
Ginebra San Miguel marketing manager Nelson Elises also said Heussaff's past issues were not a factor in her selection. In a Malaya report, Elises said: "She embodies beauty and brains. We are honored to have her with us and we're confident that with Solenn and Antonov Vodka, we have the perfect mix," adding that the "different sides of Solenn's personality" make her an exciting brand ambassador. The brand also hopes that Heussaff would create the same impact as when Anne Curtis endorsed GSM Blue.
