Katy Perry wears Pinoy designer Furne One’s creation to the VMAs
(SPOT.ph) Pop star Katy Perry sported a black sequined "Breaking Records" dress designed by Johnny Wujek for Furne One at the Video Music Awards on August 28, according to JustJared. Perry, as well as Jennifer Lopez, first wore a Furne One design during the Capital FM Summertime Ball 2011 this June, reports Manila Bulletin.
Perry had a total of three wardrobe changes during the VMA proper from Atelier Versace, Tom Ford, and Dior. She changed into the "Breaking Records" dress designed by Furne One at the press room at the end of the show. The Dubai-based Filipino designer expressed his excitement in an interview with Gulfnews.com. "Katy was wearing Versace and then she changed to Dior and then she wore my dress... that's massive."
One, who has previously designed 12 dresses for the singer’s California Dreams Tour, said he only had two weeks to craft a dress. "The brief I was given was that Katy was breaking records and that I had to create something to represent that," he said.
