(SPOT.ph) Mabuhay Palace kicks off its Mid-Autumn Festival this week with two new set menus showcasing delectable modern Cantonese fare concocted by the hotel’s Executive Chef Sun Bing and his creative team.
The lineup is exciting: a crowd-pleasing Beijing-Style Roast Duck (One-Way), cups of comforting Braised Chicken Shark’s Fin Soup with Fish Maw; pan-fried crabmeat egg whites that’s light and creamy, served with crispy conpoy wrapped in fresh lettuce; and the Mabuhay Palace Chicken, a tender poultry dish served two ways.
Also try their Braised House Special Bean Curd Topped with Baby Abalone and Shimeji Mushrooms, the spicy Fried Live Dragon Head Garoupa in Thai Chili Sauce, the velvety Braised Bailing Mushroom and Fish Maw in Seasonal Vegetables, and the absolutely filling Fortune Wrapped Fragrant Rice.
For dessert, indulge in the interesting mix of Yam Bits with Jackfruit and Baby Pearls in Coconut Milk as well as the Mabuhay Palace Assorted Mooncakes.
On September 12, guests can participate in the mooncake dice game called Pua Tiong Chiu and win prizes. The special Mid-Autumn set menu which includes a complimentary dice game starts at P2,500++ per person and the special Pua Tiong Chiu Light menu with dice game is at P800++ per person. Regular set menu rates start at P2,000++ per person. The festival will run until September 14.
