Looks like the new Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Ramon "Mon" Jimenez hit the ground running.

Less than 24 hours after being appointed to the post that had been vacated by business mogul Alberto Lim, he was already speaking to Malacañang reporters in a press conference. Jimenez, an advertising executive, certainly has a way with words.

Inquirer.net reports that Jimenez promised to launch a "truly progressive and aggressive" campaign that would "ensure that the endeavor would be fulfilling and profitable for Filipinos."

Using one of Jollibee's bestsellers as a reference, Jimenez went on to say that the Philippines should be as "as easy to sell as Chickenjoy."

According to a Sun.Star Manila article, Jimenez also said that he will meet the DOT staff and "galvanize the department into one selling unit." "Mga tindero kami," Jimenez quipped.

That said, Jimenez and the rest of DOT have to sell 7,107 pieces of "Chickenjoy." (In a manner of speaking.)
