ABS-CBNNews.com reports that Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla, Jr.was rather unnerved that his half-sister Ramona Bautista has left the country despite the ongoing investigation in the Ram Revilla murder case. Ramona and brother Ramon Joseph are being tagged as suspects in their brother Ram’s muder.
Ramona boarded a Cathay Pacific flight to Hong Kong at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 on Friday, November 4. According to the report, she was seen being escorted by a man (still not identified) at the departure area of NAIA terminal 1 and immediately proceeded to the check-in counter with the man who appeared to have "access inside the airport."
In an interview on Bandila, Sen. Revilla said, "I was shocked just like everyone. Talagang hindi kami makapaniwala. Itong pag-alis niyang ito is a sign of guilt. Hindi siya dapat umalis. Dapat hinarap niya itong imbestigasyon kung talagang siya ay hindi guilty. Ang dapat malaman natin ngayon kung sino ang nagpaalis sa kanya at kung sino ang nag-escort sa kanya at kung ano ang ginawa ng kapulisan kung bakit siya nakaalis (We couldn’t believe it. Her flight is a sign of guilt. She shouldn’t have gone out of the country. She should have cooperated in thje investigation if she really isn’t guilty. Now, we have to find out who allowed her to leave, who escorted her to the airport, and if the police did anything to stop her)."
Sen. Revilla also disclosed that he is not in good terms with Genelyn Magsaysay, the mother Ram, Ramona, and Ramon Joseph. "Si Genelyn galit sa akin dahil kung bakit i-turnover si [Ramon] Joseph sa kapulisan. Sabi ko kung wala naman siyang dapat ikatakot, harapin niya ang imbestigasyon (Genelyn is mad at me because Ramon Joseph was turned over to the police. I told her if he has nothing to fear, then he should cooperate in the investigation)," he explained.
The senator also added: "Wala akong magagawa (I can’t do anything). I am not a senator of the Revilla family, I am a senator of this country. Ako maninindigan lang ako sa tama (I’m doing what’s right)."
