(SPOT.ph) In case you haven’t marked your calendars yet, here’s a reminder that President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III has declared January 23, a Monday, as a "special non-working holiday."

The day marks the start of the Chinese New Year. In a statement released by Malacañang, the president said that declaring the day a holiday "is a manifestation of our solidarity with our Chinese-Filipino brethren who have been part of our lives in many respects as a country and as a people."
