Philstar.com reports that on Sunday, January 22, City councilor Shalani Soledad, 31, and Pasig Rep. Roman Romulo, 44, were wed at the St. Benedict Church in Santa Rosa City, Laguna. Around 700 guests attended the ceremony.
Â
The report said that Soledad walked down the aisle as the five-man band Da Cappo sang Bruno Mars’ "Just the Way You Are." She wore her Inno Sotto lace wedding gown and was given away by her uncle and surrogate father, former Valenzuela councilor Ramon Soledad.

Romulo, on the other hand, wore a midnight blue Hugo Boss tuxedo and Louis Vuitton shoes. According to the report, he also wrote his own wedding vows. At the altar, he told Soledad, "It took me 44 years to find you. I have found you, Shalani. I have found happiness. I will love you forever." Soledad replied, "I knew when I met you that you were the one for me. And I promise to love you from now on until forever."
The report futher noted: "The five-tiered banana walnut wedding cake was baked by Penk Ching. Wedding giveaways were St. Benedict medallions especially blessed by Pope Benedict XVI."
Â
For their honeymoon, Romulo said they’ll head to the posh Amanpulo resort in Palawan.
