Defense team spokesperson Atty. Karen Jimeno admits she signed a petition vs. Chief Justice Renato Corona’s appointment

Philstar.com reports that Atty. Karen Jimeno, one of the spokespersons of Chief Justice Renator Corona, admitted on Wednesday, that, back in 2010, she signed a manifesto opposing the appointment of the chief magistrate by former president and current Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Philstar.com quoted Jimeno, who said, "It’s true and I’m not denying it. In fact, I’m proud of it. It only shows my objectivity. I’m here to protect the integrity of the judiciary and not of any personality."

However, Jimeno said she "decided to become one of the spokespersons of the Corona defense team because she believes that the allegations against Corona are not true."
