Manila Standard Today reports that four of the eight Sokol combat utility helicopters from Swidnik-which is touted as the "biggest helicopter manufacturer in Poland-are now in in Clark Air Base in Pampanga. According to Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Deputy Chief of Staff for Plans Maj. Gen. Roy Deveraturda, the brand new choppers arrived on Tuesday night (February 14).
The report noted: "The helicopters are the first batch of a ₱2.8-billion order placed a year ago. The next and last batch is scheduled to be delivered in the fourth quarter (of 2012)."
