DPWH issues traffic advisory for February 17 to 20, lists areas scheduled for repairs

We are reposting the traffic advisory for February 17 to 20 which was posted on the website of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH):

Motorists and the general public are advised to expect traffic slowdown or traffic build-up in some sections of major thoroughfares in Metro Manila as the DPWH-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) will continue road improvement and maintenance works over the weekend.

The repair and maintenance of these national roads in Metro Manila has been coordinated by the DPWH-NCR with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA). For any concern, complaint, suggestion, recommendation, observation, please call 165-02; 536-3477 or text DPWH (space) message then send to 2920.

The following areas will be undergoing repairs from 10 p.m. of February 17 (Friday) to 4 a.m. of February 20, 2012 (Monday):

•Taft Avenue (Cluster), Pasay City, from Sto Niño St. to EDSA

•Aurora Boulevard (Southbound), Pasay City from EDSA to Andrews Avenue

•New Panaderos St., Sta. Ana, Manila, from Sta. Ana Church to Lamayan St.

•South Superhighway (South Bound) from Zobel Roxas St. to Qurino Avenue

•P. Tramo Avenue between Makati diversion channel and EDSA (center lane)

•EDSA, Caloocan City, northbound lane going to Monumento, 6th lane from center island, between G.De Jesus St. and Tirona St.

•EDSA, Quezon City, southbound 1st lane and 2nd lane from West Avenue to Quezon Avenue

•EDSA, Quezon City, 4th lane northbound from Corregidor to Fema Road

•Fairview Avenue 2nd lane southbound from Marlboro St. to Puregold Market

•EDSA northbound going to Cubao area, 1st lane from sidewalk, between Gate 3 and Gate 2 of Camp Aguinaldo

•B. Serrano Avenue, Eastbound going to Katipunan Avenue, 2nd lane from sidewalk, between 20th Avenue and Katipunan Avenue

•C3 Road, Navotas City eastbound from North Bay Blvd. to C3 Bridge

•Blumentritt St., Sampaloc, Manila, Maria Clara to Laon-Laan Streets (reblocking), Laon-Laan to P. Florentino Streets (asphalt overlay)
