ABS-CBNNews.com reports that Aga Muhlach is considering running for public office in next year's midterm elections, possibly as congressman in Camarines Sur province where the Muhlach family reportedly traces their origin. The report cited Aga's wife, former beauty queen and television host Charlene Gonzales, as source of the information.

The report quoted Charlene as saying that it has been her husband's dream "to serve and give back to the Filipino people." "What I can honestly say at this point in his life, kino-consider niya because nasa puso talaga niya ang pagtulong sa marami ever since before," she reportedly said on "The Buzz" where she is a host.

The report also said entertainment editor Ricky Lo wrote in his column in The Philippine Star on Monday, April 30, that the Muhlachs trace their origin to Goa, Camarines Sur. He also reportedly wrote that it was in San Jose town where Aga and Charlene recently registered as voters, which he added is a "clear sign that he (Aga) is dead set on running in the 2013 elections."
