ABS-CBNNews.com reports that "Pulitzer Prize-winning Filipino journalist Jose Antonio Vargas is at the center of Time magazine’s cover story on immigration." The magazine’s latest issue will hit U.S. newsstands tomorrow.

The report noted: "In 2011, Vargas outed himself as an illegal immigrant. He won the Pulitzer Prize in 2008 for writing about that year’s U.S. election campaign for The Washington Post. Vargas’ relatives brought him to the U.S. in 1993, when he was only 12 years old. He didn’t discover he was undocumented until he was 16. He kept his status a secret until 2011. Since then, he has sbecome a tireless advocate for immigration reforms, especially the DREAM Act that aims to help young immigrants like him who have grown up, gone to college or served in the military to get the opportunity to legally stay in the U.S."

According to the report, the Time cover "shows Vargas surrounded by 35 other undocumented immigrants from at least 15 countries, including Nigeria, Germany and Israel."
